Alright ladies and gents, welcome back to another edition of Draftkings picks! For this week’s RBC Canadian Open, I have compiled a great list of players that hopefully will make you some money! (But probably not because I suck at this).
DJ is the world’s number one golfer and has been amazing on tour this year. That said, I absolutely refuse to pay $11,700 for a single player. This severely reduces your cap and you won’t be able to invest in some good players that have a great chance to win. I love DJ, and hope he makes the cut this week, but there’s no chance in hell I am putting him in my lineup this week after his Open performance.
Tommy Fleetwood: $10,500
MY BOY!!!! Tommy has been on an absolute tear this year: 21/23 on cuts, 9 Top 10s, and some great play in the major tournaments. He hasn’t missed a cut on the PGA tour since the Wells Fargo in May, and I believe that this is a tournament where he can thrive. Let’s hope that Tommy can continue his red-hot streak and have another good tournament at Glen Abbey!
Jhonattan Vegas: $7,500
Now I know that Vegas is coming off of the craziest week of his life, but this is an absolute JOKE. The 2-time RBC Canadian Open champion is GROSSLY undervalued this week. The guy has literally won the past 2 tournaments played at Glen Abbey, and he is set at $7,500?!?! This is an absolute steal this week, and if you want to win some money, I implore you to take Jhonattan Vegas and put him in your lineup.
Harold Varner III: $7,100
Varner is a guy that I love to put in my lineups when he is on the cheaper side, and it is no different in this tournament. Varner was able to pick up his 2nd top-10 finish in a row at the John Deere, finishing in 6th place. The week before, he finished T5 at the Greenbriar. Yes, he is the definition of an up-and-down player, but he has 3 top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour and I think he can do it again this week.
