Scottie Scheffler out of US Open, tests positive for COVID-19

Man, I feel like I write this every week, but can 2020 get any worse? Scottie has been an absolute revelation this year, finishing the year with 7 top 5s and 5th overall in the FedEx Cup Standings. He vaulted himself into discussion for PGA Rookie of the Year later in the year, finishing T4 at the PGA Championship and Northern Trust.

What is especially concerning is the positive COVID test. The PGA has been incredibly vigilant about testing and making sure players are healthy when they come to play. So to hear that one of the brightest young players has the virus and has to sit out this tournament is really upsetting.

Let’s all hope Scottie has a speedy recovery and we get to see his interesting (weird) swing soon!
